Train the Trainers Resources Section - Introduction

Email storyPrint this article AIM THIS PAGE

As part of its “Train the Trainer” seminar series, API has created this Web-based resource for those interested in improving newspaper training. We’ll be featuring articles, tips and techniques to help trainers enhance their ability to engage, educate and motivate newspaper personnel.

The “Train the Trainer” seminars, which launched in May 2003, are made possible by a $235,000 grant from the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. It is part of the Foundation’s $10-million Newsroom Training Initiative, which aims to boost training for journalists and help the news media increase its own investment in mid-career education and professional development.

Applications now are being accepted for the next “Train the Trainer” seminar, and can be found here.

If you have training tips or success stories to share, please send your contributions to: Carol Ann Riordan.
