API summit: Cracking the Code for Effective Product Management
The American Press Institute will hold an invitation-only Thought Leader Summit on newsroom product management on Friday, Sept. 18, 2015 in New York City.
Hosted at the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism, Cracking the Code for Effective Product Management will gather executives, product managers and other innovators from leading legacy and startup news organizations. Job titles are varied in this realm, so we’re bringing people together with a range of formal titles, all of whom have hands-on responsibility for product management and product development.
The day will address critical issues and potential solutions, including practical workflows and processes for working with teams across departments, hiring and leadership for effective product management, and uncovering new product opportunities based on data.
Unlike a typical conference, the summit’s intimate, interactive format allows each attendee to be an active participant, sharing their expertise and experiences while gaining actionable insights from others. After the event, the best ideas will be distilled into a resource for consultation in matters related to newsroom product management.
