Our next summit will tackle the challenges and potential of digital news video

The American Press Institute will hold an invitation-only Thought Leader Summit on digital news video strategies on June 17, 2014 in Washington, D.C.

APIvideosummitHosted at the new NPR headquarters, Producing Value and Revenue with Digital Video will gather executives, managers and producers at the cutting edge of digital video projects from leading legacy and startup news organizations.

The day will address critical issues and potential solutions in digital video production, including finding, measuring and retaining audience, developing unique content that stands out from the competition, creating new revenue streams, identifying better metrics, and building an organization that effectively integrates video efforts into wider goals.

Unlike a typical conference, the summit’s format will allow each attendee to be an active participant, sharing his or her expertise and experiences while gaining actionable insights from others. After the event, ideas will be distilled into a public resource to help others make digital news video decisions in newsrooms.
