Web Applications Engineer
Marita is a Cuban-American web developer and a winner of multiple hackathons with a background in journalism. She is based in South Florida, where for the last few years, she has covered multimedia stories about Cubans around the world, politics in Miami, Cuba-U.S. relations, among other topics.
As a bilingual immigrant with strong skills in problem-solving and effective communication, she believes technology is a natural continuation of her passion for finding solutions and creatively building products that help people and communities.
When she is not coding or learning new tools, you can find her painting friends’ dogs with watercolor and acrylic. Her masterpiece is a portrait of her own puppy, Dobby.
