Katie Kutsko is the Education & Strategy Manager for News Products at the American Press Institute.
Our portfolio of products currently includes Metrics for News and Source Matters.
Katie trains Metrics for News newsroom partners on analytics skills, including how to think strategically and solve problems using audience data. She helps journalists at all levels translate numbers on dashboards into actionable insights to improve their work. She also trains newsroom partners using Source Matters.
A graduate of the University of Kansas, she served as editor-in-chief at the University Daily Kansan, where she led a newsroom transformation from a print mindset to a digital-first operation. She has interned at the Chicago Tribune, Indianapolis Star and Lawrence (Kan.) Journal-World.
